Overview:
FRMv3 offers daily forecasts of meteorological fire risk.
It estimates the probability of exceeding predefined thresholds of Fire Radiative Power (FRP) from active fires.
Key Features:
Expanded Coverage: Unlike the operational FRMv2 (focused on Mediterranean Europe), FRMv3 covers the entire European continent.
Improved Calibration: It includes regional-level calibration for more accurate forecasting.
Update Frequency: Forecasts are updated daily at 08:30 UTC, with risk levels shown for:
Today (day 0)
The next 9 days (day 1 to day 9)
Map Validity:
Fire risk maps are valid daily at 12:00 UTC.
Access and Visualization:
The product can be visualized via Web Map Service (WMS) at: WMS Link
More Information:
Details can be found on the Wild Fires LSA SAF products page.
Overview:
Provides Fire Radiative Power (FRP) estimates using SEVIRI/MSG satellite observations.
Reports the location, FRP and it's uncertainty (MW) Fire detection confidence (%) and Effective pixel area (km2) for each individual detected fire.
Key Features:
High Temporal Resolution: Data is available every 15 minutes.
Near Real-Time Updates: Product is updated within 30 minutes after each satellite observation.
Per-Pixel Fire Detection: Captures detailed fire activity with pinpointed geolocation and energy release.
Visualization:
Available via Web Map Service (WMS): WMS GetCapabilities – FRP-PIXEL
In the layer controls (top right) of the map viewer, you can:
Overlay MTG GeoColour(credit EUMETSAT and NASA) aligned with the closest FRP detection.
Refresh the page to retrieve the most recent FRP data.
Navigate in time using:
The time slider at the bottom, or
Select the calendar button on the top left, below the full screen button:
The current date and time appear on the top right; clicking on it opens the calendar (browser local time).
Additional Notes:
Further product details are available on the Wild Fires LSA SAFproducts page.
Data is also available in the LSA SAF data service.
In addition to viewing the products on this page, it is also possible to visualize them using any software or web service that supports WMS (Web Map Services) through the following links:

These WMS services can also be visualized using the ADAGUC Viewer hosted by LSA SAF:
Click on "Add layers" at the top left.
Select "MSG: FRP-PIXEL" or "MSG: FRMv3".
The map will be displayed, and you can:
Navigate through the time dimension using the panel on the left.
Adjust layer opacity and other visualization settings.
Click "Add layer" at the top left.
Click "Add custom WMS service" at the bottom right.
Enter the EUMETView WMS endpoint:
https://view.eumetsat.int/geoserver/wms
Select a layer, for example: "Geo Colour RGB - MTG - a degree".
An example use case is overlaying the FRP-PIXEL product with MTG Geo Colour RGB to visualize smoke plumes emerging from FRP hot spots.
